Vanilla and Company Experience

Finished a few tubs of Vanilla & company products and here's my take:

PURE SHEA & SEAWEED WHIPPED BUTTER in milk almond

CLAIM:

Pure Shea & Seaweed Whipped Butter - A seaweed wrap in the likes of an Indonesian Bali spa to a jar of our famous whipped Shea butters. The lush mixture of 20% Mango Butter, Wild-harvested Seaweed, and our 30% Shea Butter base leaves your skin young, firm, and ready to show off!GREASE FREE

VERDICT:

I love the smell! so milky addicting. Absorbs in the skin fast. Really non- greasy. It is however not enough for my ubber dry skin. Still gets white patches and flakes. This is great for people with normal skin. Great for summer i dont feel sticky. What i do is put body oil first then slather this on. This makes me smell so yummy. Smell lasts longer than my usual lotions. Im addicted!

PURE SHEA AND COCOA WHIPPED BUTTER in chocolate and hazelnut

CLAIM:

Pure Shea & Cocoa Whipped Butter - The epitome of our riches! A whipped mixture of 30% Shea Butter, 20% Theobroma Cacao Butter, and Amazonian Nut oil will provide the ultimate nutrition for dry skin. Proven helpful for lightening those stretch marks. Truly an ultra-rich body butter you won't want to share!GREASE FREE

VERDICT:

Better in terms of moisturizing, without the greasy feel. Though still not enough for me, layering it with oil again will do the trick. Again the smell is heaven! Can't choose which scent i like better

100% NATURAL BUTTERMILK AND BATH

CLAIM:
With 100% pure & natural Buttermilk powder, it will literally melt in your skin, leaving a slightly thick cream that will effectively promote skin lightening and softening.
Directions:For the body: Spread on damp skin, massage until thick and creamy. Rinse with water or with any V&Co. Body Wash. For the face: Pour on hand, adding a bit of water to make it creamy. Massage on face in circular motion. You may also add Honey to make skin softer. Rinse thoroughly with water.Bath tub: Pour desired amount on running water. Allow ButterMilk powder to dissolve before soaking whole body. Rinse thoroughly with water.
Result: Skin tone is lighter and skin is smoother. It will leave skin smelling like creamy milk.
Note: Clumping might occur during application but allow it to melt in your skin as you massage. It is ideal to leave the melted buttermilk on your skin for a good minute or two, perfect for use on face and body everyday. Always shake bottle before use for easy dispensing.
VERDICT:
Used this everyday when I was on almost a month of vacation from office.
It feels like mild scrubbing for me. Melts on skin though i didn't gt the creamy texture but rather a fine grainy feel, similar of that with cornstarch. Milky smell is addicting as usual. I dont have honey so wasn't able to try pair it with this. Stings my face the first time I used it, but didn't felt anything on the third or fourth time using it. Skin feels smooth and so clean. The scent got washed off though. But left my bathroom smelling milky sweet.
Mild enough to use everyday. As to whitening, I didn't noticed any dramatic result, just brightens skin. I think this works gradually, and so I need a few tubs more. But this makes bathing a wonderful experience, sad to say now that I'm back at work i dont have the luxury of bathing time, always am in a hurry. I will miss this baby,.

CRYSTAL PRINCESS WHITENING POLISH with GRAPESEED
CLAIM:

We took advantage of Grapeseed oil that is packed with vitamins yet so light it absorbs immediately into the skin. The added Bearberry extract whitens and improves uneven skin tones. Exfoliation is enhanced with Mediterranean Sea salt and cane sugar crystals while the mild warming effect of our unique formula means it cleanses deeply into your skin's surface, leaving no room for clogged pores. Crystal-scrub your neck, your arms, your legs, and your feet for super-touchable skin!
Suggested Usage: Use twice to thrice a week. Follow with your favorite Vanilla &Co. Whipped Buttercream Body Butter or Moisturizing Lotion.
Scent: Posh Strawberry
For: Dry to normal skin Result: Polished skin and unclogged pores
FAST FACTS:Grapeseed Oil is a preferred cosmetic ingredient for damaged and stressed tissues, possessing regenerative and restructuring qualities which allow a better control of skin moisturization. It is noted to be especially effective for skin repair. It can also help skin retain the normal structure of epithelium cells and nerve cells by supporting the cell membranes. And since Grapeseed Oil contains more linoleic acid than any other carrier oils, GRAPESEED OIL is known to REDUCE the look of stretch marks.
VERDICT:
Tough scrubbing indeed, the way a salt scrub should be without the salty aroma but rather a sweet fruity scent. Its moisturizing, leaves skin a thin oily film while skin is wet this might freak out those who are not used with oils or heavy lotions but when airdried, the oil gets absorbs just like body oils. You'll find absolutely no streak of oil in skin. Again this is for gradual whitening no instant result here. The only thing I dislike here is the pink coloring that is left on skin. I end up with pink spots/dots all over. I gives pinkish blush to skin too so this is great for pale people.

Overall my Vanilla & co experience was great, I'd love to try other products once Im done with my hauls with other brand,.

What's in my vanity cabinet - 1st Installment

I mentioned on my previous post that I will unveil what’s in my ‘treasure’ cabinet,. So here’s the first installment..

Presenting what’s inside my cabinet named Lotion..

Well not all really fit in here, that;s why I want a side rack.. So i wont be placing others beside my dresser..

Here’s the one I use in the office.. (it is evident now that I'm not good in keeping my things at the office organized)
Twice to thrice a week I sleep on my grandma’s house (coding days, or when my call time is early) so I stock up some there.. mostly with SPFs for protection since I will be commuting..
Now, had I proven myself to be lotion freak as I mentioned in my Honest Scrap?.... I layer them sometimes with my body oils. And yah, I get frantic whenever I finish up a blottle that I eventually buy a replacement (either same product or others to try) Other lotions I’ve tried before that are worth buying is St. Ives. There’s a lot of variant to choose from and I remember I’ve tried all of them before,..
So that's it.. see you on next installments..

Great moisturizer

I’ve mentioned in my previous entry that cyleina soaps tend to dry my skin,. So I was in constant search for lotion and body oils to counteract dryness and peeling.. And the winners are: Olay in-shower body lotion and Palmer’s moisturizing body oil (so far..)..

Olay Age Defying In-shower body lotion:

“Olay moisturizers and vitaNiacin penetrate deep within the surface to condition skin for up to 24 hours. Fights dryness that comes with aging skin. Daily use will reveal younger-looking skin in 5 days!”

Sounds nice eigh?!! But true enough, it lives to its promises,. My skin was supple, soft. smooth and moisturized.. no more peeling and dryness.. So how do you use this? After cleansing, smooth onto wet skin . I prefer to wait for 1 minute before rinsing coz I think it allows the product to penetrate deeper into skin, hence getting the most out of the product. After that I rinse off, but don’t rub off your skin too much! It will really leave a sticky after-feel, but ounce you’ve toweled off your body and have your body’s totally dry, you’ll love the super smooth skin you have..

It also leaves gold glittery flecks on skin, Its not flashy anyway, it shows though when sunray hits your skin,. I think this will also be great for gals who party out,. No need for body dusting, its like body make-up already, makes skin instantly radiant!

Im totally inlove with this product and I’m sticking on this,. I think the “age-defying” thing sounds like bells on my ear…

But what about if Im on a hurry, and that I cant afford rinsing twice and an extra minute of waiting.. the answer :

Palmer’s Moisturizing body Oil:

“A no-rinse moisturizing light oil with pure cocoa butter and Vitamin E to help soften and soothe rough and dry skin.”

It absorbs quickly, a little goes a long way,. Love how my skin really smells like cocoa/choco.. So what makes it more special than Nuetrogena body oil (which I’ve used too before)? The price! It’s a hundred or too bucks cheaper.. Plus Nuetrogena’s main component is sesame seed oil,. That’s it, its minimalist coz its supposed to be hypoallergenic.. In Palmer’s you got soybean oil, SESAME SEED OIL, safflower seed oil, cocoa butter, Vit E and A (in form of beta carotene) .. that’s way better for me, more moisturizing agent to prevent aging.. and the best part of it, its devoid of parabens. **grin**…

You might be thinking its too sticky for use of those with oily skin, then I guess just use lesser! It will be absorbed anyway.. And yah USE LESS, I once got exaggerated in using this, and my) officemate (when she held my arm) commented “ang lagkit mo” (you’re skin is sticky)..

Geez,. Im loving both of them, that I sometimes use it alternately.. Skin is really hydrated for 24 hours! And the best part of it, I can still slather on SPF lotion on exposed area (arms, legs) without feeling like a walking grease ball (well that’s me coz I’ve dry skin)..
